Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super announce car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 interchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back to the dealer.. this become old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misery similar to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all associated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all get older I acknowledge it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in reality totaling up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started hurriedly after I got it home.Any new put up to you can have enough money is appreciated. I don't know what else to do but consent it incite to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman effective on it at the dealer, but I nevertheless quality its pushed to the support as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
taking into consideration I start the car, the engine surges occurring along with 1200 and 2000 rpm back and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS when no alter in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle rapidity screw to demean the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is continuously surging to the dwindling where I cannot steer it for unease of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
