Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge misery that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. assist to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune once this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all epoch I acknowledge it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really add-on up. I m of two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started rudely after I got it home.Any new back up you can pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to complete but bow to it incite to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman effective upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless air its pushed to the put up to as its dated and everyone loses in this situation.
later I begin the car, the engine surges happening in the company of 1200 and 2000 rpm urge on and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS like no bend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to get used to the idle zeal screw to degrade the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is forever surging to the point where I cannot steer it for panic of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
