Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super announce car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After irritating 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. incite to the dealer.. this become old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common problem past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every times I say yes it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly totaling up. I m unsure to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started immediately after I got it home.Any supplementary support you can manage to pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to reach but receive it support to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman vigorous on it at the dealer, but I nevertheless feel its pushed to the back as its dated and everyone loses in this situation.
subsequent to I start the car, the engine surges occurring amid 1200 and 2000 rpm encourage and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS when no change in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to become accustomed the idle promptness screw to degrade the rpm and it would preserve for a while. Now, the engine is continuously surging to the tapering off where I cannot drive it for unease of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
