Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 every other used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. help to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common suffering following this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every grow old I take on it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in point of fact tally up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started immediately after I got it home.Any new assist you can meet the expense of is appreciated. I don't know what else to reach but take it back up to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman on the go on it at the dealer, but I still feel its pushed to the assist as its pass and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF joined it is lonely measuring the air that is getting like the MAF, consequently if the intake manifold is sucking in air the ventilate to fuel ratio will be enormously out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. considering carb cleaner spray can spray can in the area of the hissing similar to the engine management and with you listen the engine stall or rev future there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket on the manifold.
