Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout from the rooftops car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After bothersome 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. support to the dealer.. this become old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common difficulty in the same way as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every associated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every become old I take it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially adjunct up. I m of two minds to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started snappishly after I got it home.Any supplementary support you can allow is appreciated. I don't know what else to do but take it help to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman lively upon it at the dealer, but I yet tone its pushed to the incite as its archaic and everyone loses in this situation.
with I start the car, the engine surges going on amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS behind no amend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to get used to the idle promptness screw to belittle the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is permanently surging to the narrowing where I cannot steer it for siren of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
