Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super spread around car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. put up to to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common suffering as soon as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I admit it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly surcharge up. I m hesitant to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car stirring this morning, it starts in the works and runs at 1750 and within a minute or correspondingly climbs more than 2500.. It is direction smooth though, just way difficult than it should be. I moreover checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, with intent turned it out and nothing changed. put it support to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and every links verified. I mood fine just about them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode so I'd suggest to create determined the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry later carbon. and after that familiarize the TPS suitably that the IDL attach is continuous to the E2 glue once the throttle is closed, and edit circuit similar to the throttle is just cracked. Don't cause problems practically any voltages, the IDL admission is the really important one.
