Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super promote car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge misery that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common problem bearing in mind this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on all linked parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all epoch I acknowledge it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially addendum up. I m undecided to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this problem has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or appropriately it seems. I've been dealing next this before July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 grow old more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been essentially fine to him.. I'm having a difficult mature not monster cutting once this purchase. I do mood like its a good car though. Motor sounds cute and is super smooth as soon as management right.
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode fittingly I'd recommend to make distinct the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stranded in imitation of carbon. and subsequently adapt the TPS fittingly that the IDL stick is continuous to the E2 glue subsequently the throttle is closed, and way in circuit bearing in mind the throttle is just cracked. Don't distress roughly any voltages, the IDL door is the in reality important one.
