I have a 2004 ES330 as soon as a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full stop but with I go approximately turns upon onto highway ramps, in imitation of I depress the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds past reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon gone the similar engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights direction on? Is the battery abundantly charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively new battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried as a result far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. taking into consideration I put my Turbo OBDII app on, all seems good except that the TPS stays constant almost 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model so it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I give a positive response the TPS is integrated considering the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: anything else you want the mechanic to know in the past I border you? No, I guess that is it.
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests upon the air flow meter and said it was good. taking into consideration I unplug it and run the motor, the car runs rude and at 850ish. I can solitary guess that my additional rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much manage in the exchange of rpm though? I think it and no-one else adjusts it on the subject of 1k..
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you stirring to date on all maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms occurring and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine produce a result many factors may cause the thesame symptom(s)
