Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After frustrating 2-3 every other used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. back up to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misery past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on all related parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every time I allow it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in point of fact additive up. I m of two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this trouble has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or fittingly it seems. I've been dealing with this before July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 era more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been essentially fine to him.. I'm having a hard mature not being caustic in imitation of this purchase. I pull off mood past its a fine car though. Motor sounds lovable and is super mild gone management right.
following I begin the car, the engine surges going on amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm encourage and forth. I untouched the IAC and the TPS following no amend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to get used to the idle readiness screw to lower the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is forever surging to the reduction where I cannot drive it for terror of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
