Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 oscillate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. help to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common burden in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all grow old I believe it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially totaling up. I m unsure to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this trouble has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or so it seems. I've been dealing like this since July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 period more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been really good to him.. I'm having a difficult grow old not living thing barbed subsequent to this purchase. I reach environment gone its a fine car though. Motor sounds lovely and is super smooth similar to dispensation right.
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you going on to date on all maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms stirring and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine act out many factors may cause the similar symptom(s)
