Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 exchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. back up to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common trouble in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every time I take it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are truly tallying up. I m in two minds to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
Thanks for your response. I just checked what you mentioned, that I hadn't already checked, except fuel pressure.Let me say you a tiny more approximately the suffering history. It currently has a master tech credited idle air direct valve and tps installed. without disturbing anything, the last (used) ecu and my original, would manage in the car without this symptom.
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode hence I'd recommend to make distinct the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stranded gone carbon. and then adjust the TPS in view of that that the IDL glue is continuous to the E2 pin like the throttle is closed, and right of entry circuit subsequent to the throttle is just cracked. Don't distress virtually any voltages, the IDL way in is the truly important one.
