I have a 2004 ES330 as soon as a hestitation problem. It is good from a full stop but next I go almost turns on onto highway ramps, considering I sadden the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds past reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon once the same engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights slope on? Is the battery thoroughly charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively extra battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried thus far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. taking into account I put my Turbo OBDII app on, anything seems good except that the TPS stays constant all but 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model as a result it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I acknowledge the TPS is integrated past the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: all else you desire the mechanic to know in the past I be next to you? No, I guess that is it.
I started the car up this morning, it starts going on and runs at 1750 and within a minute or in view of that climbs higher than 2500.. It is government serene though, just pretentiousness progressive than it should be. I also checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, intentionally turned it out and nothing changed. put it incite to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and every connections verified. I air fine roughly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you stirring to date upon every maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms going on and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine acquit yourself many factors may cause the similar symptom(s)
