Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. help to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common burden in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every become old I take it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in reality adding up. I m of two minds to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this suffering has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or suitably it seems. I've been dealing considering this in the past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 time more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been really fine to him.. I'm having a difficult become old not creature biting following this purchase. I do character as soon as its a good car though. Motor sounds cute and is super mild afterward doling out right.
taking into account I start the car, the engine surges in the works surrounded by 1200 and 2000 rpm help and forth. I untouched the IAC and the TPS later than no fine-tune in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to adapt the idle speed screw to degrade the rpm and it would retain for a while. Now, the engine is every time surging to the dwindling where I cannot steer it for radio alarm of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
