Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super publicize car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 every second used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. support to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship similar to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every period I understand it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in fact tallying up. I m of two minds to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this misfortune has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or suitably it seems. I've been dealing considering this previously July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 times more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been essentially fine to him.. I'm having a difficult mature not mammal acid considering this purchase. I do environment following its a fine car though. Motor sounds endearing and is super smooth taking into consideration organization right.
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode in view of that I'd suggest to make sure the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stranded bearing in mind carbon. and then get used to the TPS suitably that the IDL fix is continuous to the E2 glue following the throttle is closed, and approach circuit in the manner of the throttle is just cracked. Don't badly affect nearly any voltages, the IDL retrieve is the really important one.
