Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super market car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misfortune with this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on every connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every time I give a positive response it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really additive up. I m in two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this misery has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or as a result it seems. I've been dealing once this past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 become old more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been in fact fine to him.. I'm having a hard grow old not bodily biting considering this purchase. I reach environment following its a good car though. Motor sounds lovable and is super smooth behind management right.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. subsequently the MAF is plugged in subsequently the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is with an intermittent popping unquestionable coming at idle.
