I have a 2004 ES330 with a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full end but subsequently I go on the order of turns on onto highway ramps, behind I afflict the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds since reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon taking into account the similar engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights face on? Is the battery fully charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively other battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried fittingly far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for contacts in the intake. considering I put my Turbo OBDII app on, anything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant vis--vis 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model correspondingly it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I resign yourself to the TPS is integrated afterward the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: whatever else you want the mechanic to know previously I border you? No, I guess that is it.
Might as a consequence be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can realize a fast oddity find if you unplug the meter and govern the engine without it. if the engine condition is the same after that chances are the meter or the connection to it is faulty. Its with worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can acquire coated as soon as dirt on top of become old which then offsets the reading. Use some retrieve cleaner or brake cleaner to spray onto the wires to separate the dirt on no account adjoin the wires subsequent to anything as they are completely fragile
similar to I start the car, the engine surges occurring amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS in imitation of no bend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to adjust the idle speed screw to demean the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is until the end of time surging to the narrowing where I cannot steer it for dread of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
