I have a 2004 ES330 considering a hestitation problem. It is good from a full stop but in imitation of I go more or less turns on onto highway ramps, gone I afflict the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds past reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon following the thesame engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights viewpoint on? Is the battery sufficiently charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively new battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried in view of that far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. following I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant around 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model hence it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I tolerate the TPS is integrated in the manner of the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: anything else you desire the mechanic to know since I connect you? No, I guess that is it.
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests upon the air flow meter and said it was good. gone I unplug it and direct the motor, the car runs harsh and at 850ish. I can without help guess that my supplementary rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much direct in the alternative of rpm though? I think it on your own adjusts it roughly 1k..
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you going on to date on every maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms taking place and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine law many factors may cause the same symptom(s)
