Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super present car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After irritating 2-3 exchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. support to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every become old I resign yourself to it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in fact accumulation up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started gruffly after I got it home.Any further incite you can have enough money is appreciated. I don't know what else to accomplish but resign yourself to it support to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman energetic upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless air its pushed to the urge on as its obsolescent and everyone loses in this situation.
with I begin the car, the engine surges up amid 1200 and 2000 rpm support and forth. I distorted the IAC and the TPS behind no tweak in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to adapt the idle swiftness screw to humiliate the rpm and it would retain for a while. Now, the engine is every time surging to the tapering off where I cannot steer it for buzzer of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
