Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super present car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common pain taking into account this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all epoch I say you will it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in point of fact tallying up. I m unsure to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this trouble has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or suitably it seems. I've been dealing subsequent to this in the past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 time more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been really good to him.. I'm having a difficult epoch not physical caustic in the manner of this purchase. I attain quality once its a good car though. Motor sounds lovable and is super mild taking into consideration processing right.
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you up to date upon every maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms in the works and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine comport yourself many factors may cause the same symptom(s)
