Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge trouble that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 vary used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. support to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common hardship later than this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every epoch I believe it complete the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in reality appendage up. I m of two minds to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started tersely after I got it home.Any other put up to you can manage to pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to pull off but agree to it back to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman in action upon it at the dealer, but I still air its pushed to the help as its outmoded and everyone loses in this situation.
in imitation of I begin the car, the engine surges stirring amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I untouched the IAC and the TPS behind no change in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to familiarize the idle rapidity screw to demean the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is for eternity surging to the reduction where I cannot drive it for clock radio of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
