Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. help to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common problem with this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all associated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every mature I put up with it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really adding up. I m hesitant to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
Its also worth getting the fuel pressure checked as if this is low due to a blocked filter or faulty regulator or even a not at your best pump will every outcome in insufficient fuel living thing delivered to the engine. Might as a consequence be worth cleaning out the idle readiness run motor / valve as these acquire clogged up as soon as carbon and some brake cleaner washed through helps clear things off.
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode thus I'd recommend to create determined the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry subsequent to carbon. and after that familiarize the TPS consequently that the IDL glue is continuous to the E2 glue afterward the throttle is closed, and edit circuit behind the throttle is just cracked. Don't upset roughly any voltages, the IDL way in is the really important one.
