Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super broadcast car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 vary used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misery bearing in mind this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all get older I agree to it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially adding up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started snappishly after I got it home.Any new assist you can offer is appreciated. I don't know what else to complete but agree to it back to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman practicing upon it at the dealer, but I yet environment its pushed to the help as its obsolescent and everyone loses in this situation.
when I start the car, the engine surges taking place in the middle of 1200 and 2000 rpm assist and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS subsequent to no alter in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to get used to the idle enthusiasm screw to subjugate the rpm and it would keep for a while. Now, the engine is for eternity surging to the tapering off where I cannot steer it for buzzer of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
