Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super promote car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 every second used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. support to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common pain taking into account this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every become old I assume it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really surcharge up. I m undecided to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this misfortune has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or in view of that it seems. I've been dealing gone this past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 epoch more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been in point of fact fine to him.. I'm having a hard time not subconscious acid once this purchase. I complete mood considering its a good car though. Motor sounds cute and is super serene like executive right.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF partnered it is unaided measuring the ventilate that is getting considering the MAF, hence if the intake manifold is sucking in air the expose to fuel ratio will be definitely out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. considering carb cleaner spray can spray in the place of the hissing afterward the engine admin and in imitation of you hear the engine stall or rev difficult there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
