This could be an airleak after the airflow meter, any expose dragged in here isn t seen by the ECU and in view of that not compensated for and can thin the engine out and can in addition to allow the engine to rev going on next not desired causing prickly running. As its a mechanical fault it tends not to perspective on the defect roomy and you can sometimes hear a hissing noise considering the engine running.
Might then be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can reach a quick oddity find if you unplug the meter and rule the engine without it. if the engine condition is the same subsequently chances are the meter or the connection to it is faulty. Its as a consequence worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated next dirt exceeding mature which subsequently offsets the reading. Use some open cleaner or brake cleaner to spray can onto the wires to sever the dirt upon no account be adjacent to the wires once anything as they are unquestionably fragile
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. subsequently the MAF is plugged in next the car will stall unless I put my foot upon the accelerator. There is also an intermittent popping hermetic coming at idle.
