Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge hardship that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. assist to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misery when this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every become old I take it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are truly adding together up. I m hesitant to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car in the works this morning, it starts stirring and runs at 1750 and within a minute or for that reason climbs higher than 2500.. It is management serene though, just exaggeration future than it should be. I next checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, carefully turned it out and nothing changed. put it assist to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and all associates verified. I air fine very nearly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode thus I'd recommend to create determined the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly grounded in the same way as carbon. and then get used to the TPS correspondingly that the IDL fix is continuous to the E2 attach gone the throttle is closed, and retrieve circuit later the throttle is just cracked. Don't trouble about any voltages, the IDL open is the truly important one.
